Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, we do not have a storefront location at this time. We have a privately owned licensed kitchen where we create all of our custom orders per clients requests. Our kitchen is located in South Weymouth and the address for pick ups will be given at the time of placing an order.

  • Emails and inquiries are answered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week and as a reminder we are closed every Sunday and Monday. Please allow 2-7 businesses days for a response before sending any additional emails.

  • No. We will not take on any orders with less than two weeks notice.

  • Booking and availability will vary based on the time of year. We book out two months in advance for custom orders on a regular basis. Please keep in mind that all wedding inquiries should be at least 7 to 9 months prior to your event.

  • Yes! We offer tastings for $50 for an hour time slot where you can choose 4 cake flavors and fillings to try. We discuss sizing, design and price during the consult. We are currently offering virtual tastings for everyone’s safety at this time. The process for virtual tastings is a scheduled cake sample pick up time in Weymouth, this can be during the week or on a Saturday morning. Then we will schedule a follow up zoom/FaceTime to discuss your favorite flavors and further go into detail about your desserts requests and ideas!

  • You can contact us about an order by filling out our inquiry form here on our site! We prefer to work via email so that we have all your order details in writing.

  • Yes! Once you are ready to book your event you will need to place a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your date. We can accept Venmo, applepay and credit cards. We work on a first come first serve basis and tend to book up quickly. Once a date is full we can no longer take on any more clients, your deposit will ensure your spot is saved. Deposits are used to block off time for your date and purchase ingredients and supplies specific for your order.

  • Yes! All wedding orders will require a couple signing a contract to hold and book their date along with their deposit. Custom cake orders will not need a signed contract.

  • Final balances for weddings will be paid off 3 weeks prior the event. Final balances for all other events need to be paid one day prior to delivery or pick up for the order.

  • If you need to cancel your order we will need at least one months notice in advance to reschedule any orders. There is no guarantee we will have availability for your new event date. If we do have your reschedule date available, we will apply your 50% deposit to that date. As a reminder, this deposit is nonrefundable. If we cannot coordinate a new date that works for both the baker and the client, the client will forfeit their deposit. Any cancellations made the week of an event will result in loss of your full payment for the order.

  • We offer options for gluten-free cakes at this time but none of the other allergan groups listed above.

  • Cakes travel best on flat surfaces in air conditioned or room temperature vehicles (think trunk of your car, the floor of the car in the back, or the passenger seat pushed back and put on the ground of the passenger seat). During the summer, this is especially important because buttercream reacts the same way as butter does- it's the perfect texture at room temperature, firm and unpleasant if eaten cold, and it may melt or deform if it's too hot and/or humid.

  • All cakes should remain in the fridge, if possible, until about two hours before you would like to have your cake out on display for your event. The cake should remain boxed and saran wrapped to keep it as fresh as possible. After the cake is out for this length of time at room temperature, it will be perfect for slicing! Our cake is best served at room temperature once the buttercream has softened. As a reminder, this is for indoor events only. Cakes should never be left in direct heat or sunlight outdoors.

Outside Events

Any cake placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting or deforming due to heat and humidity. Buttercream reacts the same way as butter does; it melts under heat, it is the perfect texture at room temperature, and gets firm when cold.

Therefore, it is necessary to keep your cake away from the heat and humidity to avoid disappointment. Cake Monstah is not liable for a cake once it has been delivered or picked up.

Allergies

Cake Monstah products may contain or come in contact with milk, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, cocoa, or other allergens. While every precaution will be taken in the cases of known allergies, it remains the full responsibility of client to inform guests of possible allergens. Cake Monstah is not responsible for any allergic reactions.
